Field Guide at African Echoes Recruitment

• A luxury safari lodge in Pilanesberg, North West is seeking an experienced and professional Field Guide to join their team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting guided safari activities and providing guests with informative, safe and memorable bush experiences.

REQUIREMENTS:

• FGASA Level 1 or Level 2
• Previous guiding experience preferred
• Previous Big 5/luxury lodge experience advantageous
• Strong knowledge of wildlife and the natural environment
• Excellent guest relations and communication skills
• Professional, well presented and safety conscious
• Passionate about wildlife and conservation
• Valid Driver's Licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and willing to assist with lodge operations when required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct professional Big 5 game drives
• Provide informative interpretation of wildlife and the environment
• Ensure guest safety and comfort at all times
• Deliver exceptional and memorable guest experiences
• Maintain professional guiding and safety standards
• Build strong relationships with guests
• Assist with guest hosting and lodge activities when required
• Maintain guiding equipment and ensure vehicles are guest-ready
• Work closely with management, trackers and the guiding team
• Assist with general lodge duties when required

PACKAGE:

• Salary: Approximately R9,000 per month
• Live-in accommodation
• Uniform provided
