    Field Marketing Manager

    The Field Marketing Manager will partner with the regional field, channel sales & EMEA functional marketing team to execute against local objectives whilst working to the broader global strategy of strengthening Veeam’s position in the market.  This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join a mature team within a successful and ambitious software vendor which has enjoyed double digit growth since conception in 2009.

    Job Function and Key Responsibilities:

    • Create and execute the marketing strategy for Veeam’s Business in Africa (all segments)
    • Execute highly targeted marketing campaigns and events to drive engagement, brand preference and pipeline generation
    • Business partner with the Regional sales leader to regularly review pipeline performance and advise on appropriate marketing strategies and tactics accordingly
    • Work with all Marketing stakeholders to ensure effectiveness of campaigns and activities – including working with the digital, events, social media and communication teams
    • Contribute to the regional marketing KPIs: Respondents, Net New Leads, MQLs and marketing-sourced pipeline
    • Maintain program effectiveness by measuring ROI on all investments using appropriate tools (Salesforce.com and Tableau Software) and by conducting post analysis. Accountability for KPIs and reporting on results against targets
    • Create and drive marketing plans and activities to/with the strategic channel partners, distributors and VCSP accordingly with local focus and priorities
    • Ensure alignment and consistency of Africa Marketing activities with EMEA & Corporate Veeam marketing programs
    • Work with the Customer Reference team to co-ordinate joint customer references
    • Work with PR agency to ensure a good press coverage and identify appropriate press opportunities to increase awareness of Veeam in Africa
    • Coordinate and organize the Veeam presence at key events (such as VeeamOn events or 3rd party events) together with the EMEA Events team
    • Set up & execute some ABM 1:1, 1:Many and vertical campaigns to feed the sales team with high qualified and targeted leads.
    • Drive & support alliance relationships (e.g. HPE, Microsoft) to maximize partnering opportunities whether direct or through ‘meet in the channel’ plays
    • Work with the Inside Sales team to ensure that the leads are followed up appropriately and adjust programs as necessary
    • Manage planning and budgeting for Africa marketing activities

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • Significant Marketing experience within in a B2B Software Provider provider within mentioned region.  
    • Ability to execute in a fast-paced environment, cross-functional team environment
    • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field (a combination of education and experience will be considered) is desirable
    • Understanding of the roles played by alliance partners, distributors, Channel partners and Cloud services providers
    • Ability to define marketing objectives, track and evaluate results
    • Experience in working with agencies and suppliers
    • Background/strong knowledge in virtualization, backup, storage and data management/protection preferred
    • Experience with marketing automation and CRM systems (SFDC preferred)
    • Ability to assist in multiple projects simultaneously while effectively managing time and ensuring budgets and deadlines are met
    • Inventive, self-starter with a sense of urgency and strong work ethic
    • Strong team player with ability to develop effective working relationships across the company including regional and EMEA marketing teams, sales, pre-sales and operations
    • Problem-solving skills, strong communication skills (particularly written), solution orientation
    • Ability to deliver high performance results in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace
