Field Service Technician - Durban at ABB

Your responsibilities

• Delivering a high quality, consistent and competent service in accordance with project or company requirements, standards and procedures to support overall delivery of company goals
• Safely performing testing and commissioning functions within the given time frame
• Assisting vendor representatives and site operations in commissioning and startup (energization) activities for medium and low voltage electrical systems
• Preparing all documents and customer reports to be signed by the customer representative
• Proactively planning and executing work on a first-time right approach with customers and ensuring the job is done on time and on quality
• Providing technical guidance to associates and acting as trainer when needed, for field service associates and customers

Your background

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge about switchgear repairs and testing
• Should have a driver’s license and comfortable to travel
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Preference will be given to EE candidates.
