    Finance Intern - SEF

    The duties and responsibilities of the Finance Intern will include, but not limited to:

    • Providing administrative and operational support to the Finance Officer.
    • Validating financial data and information captured on the Kwantu system.
    • Assisting with the preparation and collation of supporting documentation for payments.
    • Reviewing financial documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance with internal finance policies and procedures.
    • Assisting with the capturing, filing and maintenance of accurate financial records.
    • Supporting the Finance team with financial administration and general finance-related tasks.
    • Assisting with the preparation of financial information and reports as required.
    • Following up on outstanding financial documentation and assisting with resolving discrepancies under the guidance of the Finance Officer.
    • Supporting the finance function in maintaining proper audit trails and organised financial records.
    • Assisting with other finance-related projects and duties as required.
    • Promoting and embodying NACOSA’s values in all work performed.

    Requirements

    • Relevant Diploma (N6 Certificate) from a recognised TVET College
    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Auditing, or a related field (or currently studying towards one).
    • Previous internship or work experience in a finance/administrative role is advantageous.
    • Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting processes and procedures 
    • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills required.
    • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
    • Understanding of financial policies, procedures, and compliance principles.
