Finance Manager 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and directing accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, fixed asset, and cost accounting. Will be in charge of preparing periodic reports, reviews and reconciles data, and participates in the development of specialized financial data. Oversee and prepare entries and adjustments to Company records, files, and statements. Assist with financial and variance analyses and budget preparation. Provide managers with information necessary for decision-making. The candidate will also direct, train, supervise, and appraise accounting personnel.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial meetings
• Complete financial accounting and forecasting
• Deliver reports and metrics to leadership
• Preparation/compiling of monthly management accounts
• Reporting on management accounts in financial meetings
• Compiling of budgets and forecasts for the company
• Managing & maintaining of all accounting processes
• Risk management/financial risk management
•  Assists with budget preparations and formulation of 1, 3 and 5 year projections and financial analyses. Monitors costs and expenses.
• Manage financial income, including management and admin fees on rental recoveries, commissions on new or renewed leases, and interest earnings.
• Maintaining of budgets, costings and forecasts
• Cash Flow projections
• Vat returns and reconciliations
• Implementing of audit file preparation and savings therewith
• Preparation for Auditors (Preparation of Trial Balance, Audit File with supporting documents)
• Preparing of financial statements for MANCO reporting
• Reconciling of control accounts i.e. salaries, finance charges, depreciation
• Verification of debtors, creditors & stock
• Reconciling of loan accounts, balancing of asset finances and asset depreciation
• Implementing of financial reporting as a whole
• Management of budgets and implementing of cash flow management
• Assist with due diligence of acquisitions
• Internal audits
• Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time-to time by management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance (An equivalent combination of experience and training)

Experience

• Related field 5 - 7 years of relevant experience (Retail experience would be an advantage)

Required Knowledge

• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Detail-oriented and analytical.
• Technical knowledge of accounting concepts, procedures, and financial reports.
• Understanding of related regulations, statutes, and filing requirements.
