Job & Company Description:

My client in the insurance industry is looking for a Finance Manager, who will be responsible for, but not limited to:

•    Ensuring the optimal use and allocation of financial resources to maximise financial performance within an appropriate risk profile in order to deliver shareholder value.
•    Build a well capacitated and capable Finance team with skills and acumen that will drive the organisation into the future through a well governed environment, sound financial controls and appropriate financial advice
•    Establish key financial strategies to enhance business profitability
•    Risk and return assessment
•    Strategic investments oversight
•    Engagement with Stakeholders
•    Perform financial analysis, reporting and management activities
•    Review financial data
•    Generate financial reports related to budgets, account payables
•    Make sure annual financial statements are prepared
•    Provide technical accounting support to the team
•    Develop standard and new accounting procedures to improve financial operations efficiency
•    Follow up and action resolutions taken at meetings
•    Monitor institution and other debtors’ accounts regularly to ensure timely recovery
•    Oversight of Fixed assets, Procurement, and payroll process

Education:

•   Qualified Chartered Accountant (SA)

Job Experience & Skills Required:

•    5 years’ post articles experience in Finance
•    5 years’ experience as a Finance Manager
•    Strong knowledge of financial services industry
•    Full Finance Function
•    Strong communication skills
