• A leading (FMCG) company in South Africa is seeking a Finance Officer to join their dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient accounting operations, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business. Responsibilities 

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journals, ledgers, and reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
• Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Support cost control initiatives and monitor departmental expenses.
• Maintain compliance with statutory requirements, including VAT and corporate reporting standards.
• Assist with internal audits and ensure adherence to company policies and internal controls.
• Prepare reports and provide insights to support management decision-making

Requirements

• BCom Accounting / Finance degree or equivalent.
• 1–3 years’ experience in finance or accounting, preferably within FMCG or manufacturing sectors.
• Knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and budgeting processes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and statutory reporting requirements.
