    Finance Project Manager - Cape Town

    Job Summary:

    The Finance Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing financial projects within the organization. They will ensure project deliverables are met within the defined scope, schedule, and budget. The successful candidate will possess strong financial acumen, excellent project management skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage financial projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all project objectives are met.
    • Develop project plans, including objectives, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, in collaboration with project stakeholders.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze financial data, and identify project risks and constraints.
    • Manage project budgets, track project expenses, and ensure cost control measures are in place.
    • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
    • Ensure adherence to project management best practices, methodologies, and tools.
    • Evaluate project performance and provide regular reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and issues.
    • Collaborate with finance leaders and senior management to align project goals with strategic objectives.
    • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of financial projects.
    • Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to financial project management.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) is a plus.
    • Proven experience as a Finance Project Manager or similar role, preferably in a corporate finance setting.
    • Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
    • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting objectives.
    • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies, including project planning, risk management, and issue tracking.
    • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, driving collaboration and achieving results.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to diverse audiences.
    • Analytical mindset and attention to detail, with the ability to spot trends, identify problems, and propose solutions.
    • Proficiency in financial software and applications, such as ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and financial modeling tools.
