    SHEQ And Maintenance Officer

    Key Performance Areas:

    Duties:

    • Responsible for annual site safety induction.
    • Responsible to conduct weekly/monthly safety toolbox talks for all departments with attendance register filed for record and compliance.
    • Ensure fire drills are conducted quarterly for all departments and feedback is provided to the DC manager.
    • Weekly testing of fire equipment and generators.
    • Ensuring that buildings and all infrastructure is in a good state of repair.

    Factory Administrator

    Key Performance Areas:

    Coordinate travel and accommodation for Ops Exec and HOD’s:

    • Coordinate and manage Domestic and International travel arrangements for Ops Exec, HOD's, employees and visitors (flights, accommodation, car hire, and forex for International trips

    Engineering Stores Controller - Fixed Term Contract

    Job Specification:

    Key Performance Areas:

    Health and Safety

    • Maintain stores practises in line with relevant Health & Safety and Food Safety standards
    • Participate in site internal audits
    • Manage flammable liquid store, gas stores and hazardous waste area in line with legislative requirements

    • Control aspects of Engineering Stores (including all satellite stores such as cutter stores, oven band stores, PPE stores and any other specific storage locations) relating to verifying inventory accuracy, stock accuracy, stock movement and stock shortages
    • Facilitate review of slow moving spares in line with business requirements in order to balance capital impact of stock on hand.
    • Manage space availability in line with storage requirements in order to ensure optimal balance.
    • Manage allocation of spares to correct cost centres and GL accounts in order to facilitate control and monitoring of engineering budget.

    Systems Management

      • Manage inventory volume and value (Facilitate weekly / monthly / annual stock counts and champion discrepancy investigations)
      • Ensure development, updating and implementation of stock management policies and procedures in order to ensure adequate control.
      • Conduct internal audits in line with business requirements to test existing controls.
      • Ensure all stock items are accurately captured in SAP, with BIN locations matching locations in field.
      • Manage redundant stock (continuously checking obsolescence reports, stock movement reports, validity of spares and descriptions etc.)
      • Manage the SAP MRP requirements (continuously reviewing parameters for correctness, verifying minimum order quantities, minimum stock level, spare criticality classifications etc.)

      • Control of Rotable spares and Capital spares including relevant movement types (booking out capital spare, booking refurbished spares back into stock, ensuring relevant moving averages are applied, ensuring relevant stock return transactions are completed)

    People Management

    • Develop and manage KPI’s for direct reports (storeman)
    • Identify training requirements for direct reports and facilitate closing out of training interventions.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Experience:                                                                   

    • 3 years’ Stores Controller / Store Supervisor experience gained within an Engineering environment
    • 3 years Supervisory / Management Experience
    • Previous experience within the FMCG / Manufacturing sector would be ideal

    Qualifications:

    Shipping Clerk - Durban

    Job Specification:

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Perform SAP Stock Transport Order (STO) for NBL and Ciro Sites (also assist with wheat/machinery spares)

    Call Centre Team Leader - Kempton Park

    An exciting new opportunity, therefore, exists for a Call Centre Team Leader. The successful applicant will be required to perform a customer service function, team performance and administration control. AVI Field Marketing is a shared services business unit within AVI. Field Marketing focuses on sales and merchandising for the beverages, snacking and cosmetic business units to provide greater focus and to achieve an improved execution at the store level. This role will report into the Call Centre Supervisor and will be based in Isando.

    Key Performance Areas:

    Team Performance

    • Ensure Call centre agents receive inbound telephonic customer orders in a proficient manner, on time, accurately, and within set parameters ensuring orders are captured live
    • Ensure EDI orders are processed on time, accurately, and within set parameters
    • Ensure reverse sales orders are processed on time, accurately, and within set parameters
    • Ensure Call centre agents capture all orders from internal Customers on receipt
    • Ensure that the service level agreements are achieved based on the calls answered within the stipulated timeframes

    Maintenance Manager: Generators - Cape Town - IJ

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Manager responsible for the company’s backup diesel generators across all its sites in the Western Cape.

    Reporting to:  Head of Engineering

    Job Specification – Key Performance Areas:

    • Responsible for the technical operations of the I&J standby genset fleet. This includes overseeing the daily operations of maintenance and repair, budgeting, general assessment of gensets and their switchgear etc.
    • Ensure the gensets are technically operational and local onsite management aware of their status
    • Liaise with I&J engineers, contractors and workshops on technical and operational matters
    • Attend to genset major service outages, and determine desired repair specifications / work scope for planned outages and maintenance
    • Provide and compile documented reports upon completion of services, repairs and inspections, including summaries of work performed, operational budgets, and actual expenditure
    • Identify and source technical and operational partners to enhance the support for the various gensets used within the business
    • Ensure that all copies of statutory and equipment certificates are properly maintained and documented
    • Perform evaluations for outage works, repair quotes and selection of service providers for maintenance work
    • Perform monthly and daily reviews of running logs and genset performance data
    • Monitor operational status of all gensets via wireless offsite interface monitoring systems
    • Supervise contractors and in-house personnel conducting the maintenance of gensets
    • Train I&J maintenance personnel on relevant preventive maintenance procedures and fault-finding

    • Perform systematic review of recommended operating and maintenance guidelines and standards, and ensure compliance with national standards
    • Ensure and maintain a genset zero loss time accident record and to report all incidents, near misses to prevent and eliminate potential recurrence of such incidents
    • Undertake any other technical-related assignments as and when required

    Minimum Requirements:

    Experience:

    • Minimum 10 years relevant experience, which must include hands-on diesel engine repairs, overhaul and fault-finding and no less than 5 years supervisory / management experience.
    • Experience with standby generator electrical and control systems.

    Qualifications:

    • Trade-tested diesel mechanic or fitter & turner.
    • National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Possess relevant sea-going work experience as Chief Engineer / Marine Engineer with minimum Class 1 certification unlimited would be advantageous
