Financial Accountant at FEM

Job Description

• FEM is looking to appoint a Financial Accountant at its Head Office within the Finance Department based in Rosebank. Reporting to the Financial Manager, the overall objective is to assist and support the financial function of the company, as well as taking accountability of the full financial accounting function of The FEM Education Foundation and FEM Construction Industry Loan Fund (FEM CILF).
• The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not limited to, financial administration and accounting, reconciling of bank accounts, payment of creditors, processing and reconciling of balance sheet accounts, B-BBEE administration, reinsurance and managing Road Accident Fund Claims (RAF).

The minimum requirements of the position are a related Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree or Diploma in Financial Accounting or an equivalent related qualification. A minimum of 3 to 4 years Financial Accounting experience within a financial services environment, knowledge of the Road Accident Fund Act, functional computer literacy, attention to detail, quality orientation, excellent customer focus, the ability to work in a highly pressurized environment, the ability to work to strict deadlines, reliability and excellent communication complete our requirements.
