Responsibilities:

• Oversight and general maintenance of financial records
• Supporting and guiding the finance team as needed
• Monthly and yearly financial close activities and reconciliations
• Timely preparation and maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Monthly VAT submissions 
• Maintenance of fixed asset register
• Review of monthly payment packs
• Preparation of monthly management accounts for review
• Preparation of accounts for annual audit / review
• Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
• Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement
• Other ad-hoc tasks associated with the role

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting
• SAICA articles
• Minimum 2-3 years experience
• Computer program experience working on Caseware & Syspro (beneficial) and Strong Excel skills
