    Demand Planning & Procurement Specialist

    Job Description

    • My client seeks a multi-skilled Demand Planning & Procurement Specialist for their growing food manufacturing business in Cape Town's Southern Suburbs.
    • You will be responsible for procurement and stock management, ensuring materials are acquired at optimal prices within set timeframes.
    • As the successful incumbent you will be results-driven, decisive, principled, collaborative, and excellent communication skills. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Determine procurement needs of the business, ensuring all stores are correctly stocked and managed
    • Ensure all raw materials and packaging are available on time as needed by production
    • Determine weekly planning schedule
    • Responsible for forecasting, sourcing, negotiating, contract management, and supplier relationship management
    • Prepare associated reports for the management team, including recommendations to improve performance and reduce costs
    • Planning and sequence plan
    • Calculating forecasts, ordering, and tracking bulk orders from local and overseas suppliers
    • Calculating forecasts, ordering, and tracking all packaging orders
    • Manage team responsible for the day-to-day ordering of raw materials and logistics handling
    • Manage stock control/counts and take responsibility for variances and COS calculations

    Requirements:

    • Tertiary qualification in Cost Accounting or Supply Chain Management 
    • Minimum of 5 years work experience in a similar role
    • Valid RSA driver's license
    • Strong numeracy skills and ability to analyse data essential

    Job Description

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversight and general maintenance of financial records

    Assistant Accountant - Southern Suburbs

    Job Description

    • Exceptional opportunity available for a Junior Accountant to join a dynamic and professional investment team's finance team as their Assistant Accountant. Work closely with the Senior Accountant in the team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Monthly bank statement processing and reconciliations (including credit cards)
    • Cash-flow monitoring and management
    • Assisting with client fee calculations in terms of signed mandates and/or SLAs
    • Maintaining fee schedules that agree to the general ledger

    • Self-review the accuracy and completeness of monthly management accounts and processes

    Requirements:

    • Desired qualifications - BCom Accounting / Hons Accounting / CIMA / SAIPA
    • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience gained as an Accountant
    • Exposure to Financial Services preferable (Fund Services, Unit Trusts, Investment Management)
    • Able to work on various IT systems (advanced Excel skills would be an advantage)
