Responsibilities:

• Processing of vendor applications, completion of credit applications
• Source, maintain and monitor relationships with Suppliers
• Negotiate prices and supply with Suppliers
• Ensure the business remains within the fixed cost budget through analysis
• Oversee consumable procurement for all four production sites 
• Process of purchase requisitions 
• General Ledger Reconciliations
• Raise accruals at month end for creditors/expenses
• Implement and optimize procurement budgets
• Implement cost-saving initiatives
• Implement procurement strategies, procurement policies and procedures
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders
• Achieve targeted cost savings in Consumable procurement
• Generate reports for management on stock levels, purchasing activities & cost analysis
• Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecast of costs

Requirements:

• Tertiary studies in procurement or supply chain management (CIPS advantageous)
• At least 10 years experience in procurement
• Proven experience in stock control, purchasing or supply chain management
• Experience and knowledge of ERP's and Excel based reporting
