    Financial Controller Level 7 (Revenue)

    Requirements :

    • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) plus an appropriate National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or Degree (NQF Level 7) in Financial Management, Cost and Management Accounting, Accounting, Public Finance or an equivalent qualification.
    • A minimum of three (3) years appropriate experience in Revenue Management within the Public Service or Public healthcare environment. Sound knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, National and Provincial Revenue Management policies, Uniform Patient Fee Schedule (UPFS), Hospital Fees Memorandum, Public Service Act and Regulations and other relevant legislations.
    • Knowledge of BAS, SAP, Health Information Systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Strong Financial Management, analytical, report writing, communication, planning, leadership and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure, supervise staff and meet reporting deadlines.

    Duties :

    • Manage and supervise all revenue management functions within the hospital. Oversee patient administration revenue processes, billing, classification of patients, debt management, cashier services and revenue collection. Ensure accurate capturing, reconciliation, monitoring and reporting of revenue transactions. Monitor compliance with the PFMA, Treasury Regulations, Departmental policies and Standard Operating Procedures. Supervise and manage staff performance, leave administration, training and development within the Revenue unit.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual revenue reports for management and Provincial office. Monitor revenue performance and implement revenue enhancement strategies.
    • Ensure effective debt collection processes and follow-up on outstanding accounts. Investigate and resolve revenue discrepancies and implement corrective measures. Support Internal Audit, external audit and Risk Management processes by providing accurate information and implementing corrective actions.
    • Develop, review and implement revenue control measures to minimize financial risks. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on revenue-related matters. Perform any other duties delegated by the Finance Manager.
