Are you a seasoned financial professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for excellence? A leading logistics and freight forwarding company is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee and manage its financial operations in Zambia.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and company policies.
Manage financial audits and liaise with external auditors.
Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures.
Oversee cash flow management and optimize financial resources.
Supervise and mentor the finance team to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience:
A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA is highly advantageous).
Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
Experience in the logistics or freight forwarding industry is a distinct advantage.
