Financial Director at Osiris Trading

Purpose of the Role:

• The purpose of the Finance Director role is to lead and manage the day-to-day operations and financial reporting of Betway Licensed. This role is responsible for overseeing the Finance team and report to the Chief Finance Officer.

Duties include, but not limited to:

Financial reporting

• This includes statutory, monthly management accounts and analytical reporting in accordance with the business reporting strategy.
• Reporting to the board of the segment and local companies
• Oversees the preparation and distribution of all periodic financial statements for external use. Ensures that reports, filings, and documentation comply with company’s regulations, professional standards such as SEC requirements, IFRS and or GAAP reporting guidelines.
• Driving the financial planning of the segment by analysing its performance and risks. Retaining constant awareness of the company’s financial position and acting to prevent problems.
• Monthly Exco Reporting
• Maintain and oversee the full financial review policy of the segment with detailed monthly review notes and analytical overview.
• Full trial balance management

Corporate Governance

This is to be able to design and implement with the Group CFO and the Head of finance: Statutory the finance strategy in line with the corporate strategy. This role will be.

• Board Functions
• Board reporting and minutes for local and foreign subsidiaries
• Responsible for overview and creating of board reports to assist the board of directors to know how the business is performing by providing good-quality and timely information.
• Provide board with finance guidance and reporting.
• Reporting to various Sub-Committees

Audits

• Contract external auditing services to ensure financial monitoring is up to date. Create and maintain relationships with service providers and contractors, and accountants and external auditing firms for audit and accounting services.
• Work closely with Internal Audit department and committees to ensure that the necessary information is provided to have the businesses internal controls validated and audited on a regular basis.
• Oversee the Statutory Team’s co-ordination of fieldwork for local and group audits and management of related audit requirements.
• Tax management and compliance.
• Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated local and foreign income tax returns and other business-related filings. Develop and evaluate tax strategies and explore opportunities for tax planning and optimization for the organizations, including but not limited to:

Direct and indirect taxes.

• Transfer pricing governance.
• support the business and CFO in navigating a dynamic and complex global tax environment. Constantly changing regulatory environments have led to rapid growth in transfer pricing.
• Work closely with the Head of Tax to drive tax processes, tax audits and external engagements with Tax Authorities

Substance Governance.

• Regulatory requirements
• Ensure that all financial assistance and reporting is supplied in conjunction with the regulatory requirements. This also include timely filings of reports and statutory requirements.
• Work closely with the Head of Compliance to ensure all financial and tax licensing requirements are fulfilled and reported on
• Accounting & finance policies and compliance with statutory requirements
• Update and implement financial policies and procedures.

Legal and contracts.

• Internal billing and contract management – ensure that all the internal relationships have the correct agreements in place.
• Administration and record keeping of all external contracts.

Funds and Assets management

• Work closely with Treasury Department to ensure optimal cash planning and forecasting.
• Treasury management included management of all entities within the segment to ensure liquidity and mitigating operational, financial, and reputational risks.
• This also includes the planning, organizing, and controlling the funds and working capital of the group to maintain liquidity and reduce the overall cost of funds.
• Preparing cash flow forecasts
• Capital expenditure management and procurement.
• Engage with local and foreign banks to ensure service level agreements are adhered to.

Forecasts and going concern monuments

• Including the preparation and sign off on annual forecasts (and quarterly reforecasts) ensuring the company’s accounts are prepared on the bases of going concern.
• Manage the actuals against the budgets and introduce controls or corrective measures where required.

Robust and critical systems and controls

• Develop and maintain tools on-hand to help achieve close to real-time reporting which pulls all relevant management information. Consistently improving reporting capabilities to assist with internal decision making.
• Policies and procedures around the controls and output of the ERP systems.
• Drive efficiencies in data delivery and co-ordinate data requirement with the relevant technical teams
• Ensure the increase effectiveness in the output of reporting that adhere to the compliance and reporting standards required.
• Review and sign off on all relevant SOX control activities as Control owner of certain processes.

People management

• Work with managers in Finance to clearly identify and define their responsibilities, developing key performance indicators/goals to ensure effective and efficient operation of each business unit within Finance.

Essential Criteria:

• CA, ACCA and or CIMA or equivalent financial qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years accounting reporting experience.
• Experience with large volumes of financial data.
• Experience with financial systems.
• Minimum 3-5 years managerial experience.

Desirable Criteria:

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience in Navision.
• Knowledge of IFRS.
