Fitment Specialist M/F - East London at CFAO

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

To fit security systems, audio systems and accessories to motor vehicles.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 qualification/equivalent.
• Clean criminal record,
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• To have completed a full technological course of further education.
• To have gained all-round experience and training on security systems, audio systems and accessory fitment, including a good knowledge of the auto electrical system of motor vehicles.
• Be VESA approved.

Profile Request:

JOB SPECIFICATION:

• To carry out speedy fitment of systems and accessories as instructed by supervisor.
• To ensure faults are accurately diagnosed.
• To co-operate in vehicle care and safety whilst dealing with vehicles.
• To ensure the vehicle care and safety are maintained during fitment and repair.
• Ensure diagnosis leads to most cost effective and accurate remedy to fault or customer complaint.
• To always be ready to give advice or use techniques which ensure quality but save time.
• To provide a fault-finding and system diagnostic service with relation to the systems/accessories on motor vehicles.
• To complete forms and documentation included in the company's fitment routine.
• To draft and repair any reports required.
• Maintain effective liaison with Parts Manager.
• To ensure that all instructions to assistants are clear and understood.
• To ensure that any communication to mechanics is clear and answers to queries raised.
• To be prepared to make suggestions and give advice regarding any special promotional campaign.
• To take part, if required, in such campaigns.
• To make recommendations on specialized equipment required providing updated fitment facilities, to cater for state-of-the-art innovations on vehicles.
• Ad hoc admin/other responsibilities as and when required.
