N2 certificate with fitting and turning qualification
Valid driver’s license (code 10)
3 to 5 years stable working experience on process plants, preferably in aggregates crushing and screening
Computer literate
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
Fault finding and repair on mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics
Knowledge of and applicable skills in plant maintenance, repair and installation of equipment
Stone crushers, screen and shaft impactor
Aggregate crushing and screening processes
Duties and Responsibilities:
Meet with the Maintenance Foreman and Production staff to discuss maintenance/engineering breakdowns in the plant
Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools as well as measuring instruments and reassemble equipment
Must have a broad knowledge of Conveyer Belts, Gearboxes, Bearings, Pumps, Crushers (4.25 cone crushers, Sandvic cone crushers, Metso HP crushers, Telsmith cone crushers, Osborn 44H, Jaw crushers, VSI Crushers) and Screens
Perform other maintenance actions, following checklists
Assemble, install and/or repair, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment.
Executing daily planned task maintenance (PM maintenance scheduling and ensures all mechanical equipment operates to required OPP’s or overall plant performance))
Identifying causes of mechanical dysfunction and repairing same using appropriate and cost-effective solutions
Ensuring safe work practices and compliance with all safety, health and environmental (SHE) legislation specifically the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHS Act)
Fine tuning plant maintenance and repair systems in conjunction with production and engineering staff to ensure optimal plant throughout whilst maintaining required level of plant safety
Completion of all required paperwork and submission of all required reports
Ensuring a good example of housekeeping, safety standards and leadership
