Job Advert Summary    

• Full-time onsite role based in Viljoenskroon. Responsible for carrying out scheduled, preventive and breakdown mechanical maintenance on plant equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety and reliability. Diagnose faults, repair machinery, conduct inspections, maintain maintenance records, and support production operations. Adhere to health and safety standards and perform any other duties delegated by management.

Minimum Requirements    

• Matric
• N3
• Trade Test
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment in a similar position, preferably FMCG
• Good communication Skills.

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Ensuring that all scheduled maintenance on plant equipment are undertaken within the prescribed timeframe to minimize equipment failure, ensuring that pellet Mills are correctly set and lubricated.
• Responding to all mechanical breakdowns timeously to ensure minimum downtime.
• Attending to all assigned daily jobcards as per required timeframes.
• Reporting all critical and urgent defects and / or spares requirements to the Maintenance Foreman and attending to them.
• Ensuring that all duties are carried out safely and ensuring good housekeeping within work areas.
• Carrying out standby and after-hours duties as required.
• Carrying out any other related tasks as assigned by foreman and assisting other artisans when required.
