    Requirements and Expectations

    Minimum Requirements

    • NQF Level 1 or 2 certificate or a relevant qualification.
    • N6 or Diploma in Hospitality & Catering Services will serve as an added advantage.
    • Two (2) years’ experience in food preparation and serving environments will be an added advantage.
    • Three (3) years’ experience working as a cleaner will serve as an added advantage.
    • Ability to work under pressure and in shifts, including overtime when required.
    • Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene, safety, and sanitation procedures.
    • Knowledge of food preparation and serving techniques.
    • Understanding of inventory procedures, waste management, and quality control standards.
    • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food handling.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Clean and maintain kitchen utensils, appliances, and equipment.
    • Provide catering and food preparation support services.
    • Maintain accurate records of kitchen utensils and stock.
    • Apply strict hygiene and safety measures in all food handling and preparation areas.
    • Ensure quality control of all food served and maintain cleanliness in food preparation spaces.
    • Assist in the preparation of meals, snacks, and beverages (e.g., tea, coffee, water, and cold drinks).
    • Set up and clear crockery, cutlery, and equipment in dining areas.
    • Serve food and beverages to staff and visitors.
    • Assist with garbage disposal and report any waste or food losses.
    • Maintain a professional standard of service delivery at all times.

    • Preference may be given to candidates residing within the Gauteng Province.
