Programme Implementation: Execute and monitor work in alignment with the project programme, ensuring progress targets and deadlines are met.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records, daily diaries, material usage logs, and reports required for effective site management.
Setting Out & Surveying: Perform and supervise accurate setting out and levelling tasks using instruments to ensure work is completed to specification.
Plant & Equipment Oversight: Coordinate the use and maintenance of site plant and machinery, ensuring availability and functionality to support site operations.
SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality): Enforce compliance with all SHEQ policies and legislation; champion safe working practices and environmental awareness on site.
Housekeeping: Ensure the work environment is clean, organized, and hazard-free, promoting safety and efficiency.
Staff & Subcontractor Supervision: Manage daily activities of site personnel and subcontractors; ensure productivity, discipline, and quality workmanship.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 qualification (essential)
National Diploma or Certificate in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent (advantageous)
Minimum of 8 (5 years for junior role) years of hands-on experience in medium to large-scale construction, particularly in building and concrete civil works
Proven ability to coordinate teams and manage site activities under pressure
