    Foreman (Concrete)

    Key Responsibilities (Key Performance Areas)

    • Programme Implementation: Execute and monitor work in alignment with the project programme, ensuring progress targets and deadlines are met.
    • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records, daily diaries, material usage logs, and reports required for effective site management.
    • Setting Out & Surveying: Perform and supervise accurate setting out and levelling tasks using instruments to ensure work is completed to specification.
    • Plant & Equipment Oversight: Coordinate the use and maintenance of site plant and machinery, ensuring availability and functionality to support site operations.
    • SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality): Enforce compliance with all SHEQ policies and legislation; champion safe working practices and environmental awareness on site.
    • Housekeeping: Ensure the work environment is clean, organized, and hazard-free, promoting safety and efficiency.
    • Staff & Subcontractor Supervision: Manage daily activities of site personnel and subcontractors; ensure productivity, discipline, and quality workmanship.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 qualification (essential)
    • National Diploma or Certificate in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent (advantageous)
    • Minimum of 8 (5 years for junior role) years of hands-on experience in medium to large-scale construction, particularly in building and concrete civil works
    • Proven ability to coordinate teams and manage site activities under pressure
    • Valid driver's license (advantageous)

    Training Officer

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Development of learning material and methods.
    • Implementation and achievement of agreed upon strategic objectives.
    • Presentation of mobile machinery skills and wet trades skills programs.
    • Training, evaluation and assessment of learners and conducting of on-the-job training.
    • SHE adherence and alignment to ensure that safety targets are achieved.
    • Produce and maintain effective training results.
    • Follow assessment methodologies and conduct assessments as per ISO standards.
    • Address the requirements of the Health and Safety Act.

    Requirements

    CETA Registered Facilitator, Assessor and Moderator on the following scope(s)

    •  Construction Plant Operations
    • GETC: Construction

    ETDP Statement of Results ( & Provider Certificate) for

    • 115753 : Conduct outcome-based assessments
    • 115759: Conduct moderation of outcome-based assessments
    • (115755: Design and Develop outcome-based assessments an advantage
    • Matric/Grade 12 certificate or equivalent NQF level 4, (OD ETDP qualification will be an advantage)
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in operating mobile construction plant operations.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Mining, Building and Construction training disciplines.
    • Computer Literacy.
    • Good verbal and written communication in English.
    • Knowledge of relevant statutory legislations.
    • Coaching and mentoring skills.
    • Valid code 10 C1 driver’s license. 
    • Must be willing to travel when required.

    • Professionally registered as a Safety Officer with SACPCMP
    • At least 5 years as a Safety Officer
    • Ideally SAMTRAC or related tertiary qualification
    • Previous experience in construction

    Snr Commercial Manager

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Drafting, negotiating, and finalizing contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure favourable terms and compliance with project specifications and legal requirements.
    • Overseeing contract execution, ensuring all parties adhere to agreed terms, and managing changes and variations in the contracts scope. 
    • Monitoring project expenses, managing cost overruns to keep the project within budget.
    • Producing regular financial reports for senior management, highlighting key financial indicators and potential risks.
    • Managing and resolving claims or disputes with client, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring favourable outcomes for the project. 
    • Close working relationship with the planner in order to ensure claims opportunities are timeously optimised.

    Requirements

    • BsC Hons. degree in engineering, construction management or quantity surveying.
    • 10 years+ post graduate experience with the Construction Industry.
    • Buildsmart System Experience.
    • In depth knowledge and understanding of Construction Computer Software (CCS).
    • FIDIC
    • Sound knowledge of standard contract documents and specifications.
    • SACQSP Professional registration.
    • Experience in leading design build /EPC projects
    • Experience in Business development and strategic planning
    • Commercial and business risk analysis.
    • Project Finance structuring.
