Qualifications And Experience

• At least 5 to 7 years in underwriting and claims processes
• Relevant certification in insurance
• Relevant National or Higher Diploma or Bachelors degree will be advantageous

• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to balance between technical and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literate (working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook)
• A sound understanding of different IT environments, application and system controls.
• Must be able to work independently or within a team.
• Ability to apply conceptual, logical thinking and cognitive flexibility.
• Ability to multi-task under constant pressure.
• A probing mindset and passion to uncover the truth
• The ability to maximise input requirements to generate required results, with minimum information received.
• Detailed understanding of data structures and various fields reflecting in different IT database environments and applications across the Santam Group.
• In-depth insurance knowledge and understanding of potential business integrity risks (a.k.a. fraud risks) affecting the short-term insurance industry is crucial.
• A detailed understanding of the Santam Group business operational environment and the short-term insurance industry in general.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
