Purpose Statement

Responsible for:

• Building and creating additional products and features to enhance user experience. 
• Frontend development for various Capitec website platform

Experience

• 3-5 years proven experience as a web front-end developer using the below technologies:
• React / Vue
• JavaScript / TypeScript
• CSS / SCSS
• HTML
• Good knowledge of web user interface standards and best practices
• Familiar with agile project tracking tools (Jira)
• Familiar with source control tools (Git)

Qualifications (Minimum)

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
• Diploma in Information Technology - Computer Science or Information Technology - IT Engineering

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology - IT Engineering or Information Technology - Computer Science

Knowledge

Min:

Must have detailed knowledge of:

• IT systems development processes (SDLC)
• Application development
• Testing practices

Ideal:

• Experience in working with Enterprise level CMS’s (Optimizely, Sitecore & Adobe)
• Experience with CI/CD Tools (GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc)
• Good understanding of software testing strategies (unit, integration, regression)
• Good understanding of the financial services environment
• Knowledge of best practices for quality assurance
