    FWD Field Sales II

    • Alfa Laval Africa is looking for a specialist in sales to support the Food and Water business in Southern Africa. The primary focus of the role will be to identify business opportunities within the market and concluding direct sales of Alfa Laval products and services within a defined area of responsibility (e. g. geographical, group of customer, industry or product group etc.).

    Key Responsibilities & Objectives 

    • Follow established sales processes and guidelines to promote and sell Alfa Laval Product and services.
    • Analyse and understand market insights and the customers buying behavior and make sales plans according to the business division strategy and targets, by working closely with experienced sales or sales team leader.
    • Look for and manage leads from the market and customers and convert them in real business opportunities in other to ensure the pipeline.
    • Be active in the market and focus on making visits, meetings and interactions to customers, focusing on customer needs understanding and highlighting the value of our products and services.
    • Runs the operation by managing the customer grid and proactive planning in our tools.
    • Develop value quotes reflecting the customer needs stressing the unique selling points and follow up.
    • Use the CRM tool and other tools in a consistent and qualitative way, to support the sales process and take decisions.

    Experience and Qualifications

    • Graduate/Diploma in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering plus   3+ years of sales experience in similar role or
    • 5+ years of sales experience for diploma holder or
    • 10+ years of sales experience in the Food and Beverage industry selling Heat Exchangers, High Speed Separators, Decanters.
    • Exposure working in Southern African market
    • Exposure to selling and or servicing the Food Industry/Beverage/ Brewery/ Vegetable or Seed Oils is preferred
    • Exposure working in Starch & Sugar or Dairy Industry will be an added advantage
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to express ideas clearly both in written and verbal formats.
    • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skillset
    • Organized, methodical and ability to solve problems.
    • Flair to work in a team.
