• Someone who is comfortable taking responsibility for a full development team, systems support, transaction processing and general operations.
• Strong management skills with a solid understanding of software, and the ability to keep highly skilled developers motivated.
• Relevant qualifications and a strong employment history are critical.
• Manage and participate in system architecture and design and contribute towards software development projects.
• Effectively supervising company coding standards, processes, and systems.
• Manage service providers, company coding standards, processes, and systems.
• Strong analytical, deductive and abstract reasoning.
• Incident and Escalations Management.
• Optimise the delivery through our current SDLC processes.
• Experience mentoring and developing technical teams.
• Ability to work well with people and be highly motivated.
• Ability to think strategically and execute methodically and tactically.
• Ensure application development methodologies, principles, standards and processes are defined and ensure compliance across IT portfolio with a future focus on agile methods of work.
• Create a culture of high performance, continuous optimisation and cost effectiveness and manage team performance.
• Be Involved in the recruitment of new employees.
• Cross-Skilling of resources.
• Training and Development of resources.
