    Electrical Engineer - Consulting Industry

    Job Description

    • RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established consulting engineering firm based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town is seeking to appoint an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their growing team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Electrical building services design and documentation
    • MV/LV reticulation design and coordination
    • Preparation of technical reports, specifications, and tender documentation
    • Site inspections and construction monitoring
    • Coordination with clients, architects, contractors, and other consulting disciplines
    • Ensuring designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements
    • Assisting with project planning and technical problem-solving

    Requirements:

    • BTech, BSc, or BEng Degree in Electrical Engineering
    • 5–10 years’ relevant consulting engineering experience
    • Proven experience in electrical reticulation and building services design
    • Strong understanding of electrical engineering standards, regulations, and design practices
    • Experience working on commercial, residential, industrial, or mixed-use developments
    • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary consulting environment
    • Good communication and client liaison skills
    • Proficiency in relevant electrical engineering design software advantageous
    • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
    • Good report writing and project coordination skills

    Fire Designer - Consulting Industry

    Job Description

    • RPO Recruitment’s client, a reputable consulting engineering firm based in Pretoria is currently seeking to appoint a skilled Fire Designer to join their multidisciplinary building services team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Preparing fire protection and fire detection designs for commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments
    • Developing detailed Revit models and technical drawings
    • Coordinating fire services with HVAC, wet services, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines
    • Assisting with smoke ventilation and sprinkler system layouts
    • Producing technical documentation and construction drawings
    • Ensuring designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
    • Participating in project coordination meetings and resolving design clashes

    Requirements:

    • Relevant qualification in Draughting, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or similar
    • Proven experience in fire protection and fire detection design within a consulting engineering environment
    • Strong proficiency in Revit is essential
    • Experience using AutoCAD and other relevant design software advantageous

    Job Description

    • RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established property development and construction company in Cape Town is seeking to appoint an experienced General Foreman with strong residential construction experience.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Overseeing and coordinating daily site activities on residential construction projects
    • Managing subcontractors, labour, materials, and plant on site
    • Monitoring construction progress and ensuring projects remain on programme
    • Maintaining quality standards and ensuring work is completed according to specifications
    • Enforcing health & safety compliance and site housekeeping standards
    • Assisting with site planning, scheduling, and productivity management
    • Conducting site inspections and resolving on-site challenges efficiently
    • Liaising with Site Managers, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors

    Job Description

    • A reputable mining company is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper with strong finance administration and organisational skills to support daily financial and administrative operations.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for handling general finance administration, vendor registrations, tender site registrations, and providing overall administrative support while reporting directly to senior management.
