Geotechnical Laboratory Technician at Fugro

Tasks And Responsibilities

A Geotechnical Laboratory Technician undertakes advanced laboratory testing in an efficient and effective way, while maintaining the highest levels of safety and testing standards required by our clients and in accordance with our vision to be the world’s leading Geo-data specialist.

• You’re responsible for the advanced testing of soil samples;
• You take care of processing the date acquired and you take care of work around the lab;
• You ensure that all equipment used in the Geotech testing laboratory is fully functional, calibrated and fit-for-purpose;
• You would help with maintaining any accreditation in the Geotech testing laboratory, promotion of good QA/QC practices and ensuring that the Fugro Quality Standard is complied with;
• You’re responsible for reporting daily results to the Chief Lab Technician;
• You work closely with colleagues within the teams Geotechnics and Construction Materials Testing.
   

Requirements

• A minimum of a BSc or BEng degree in Civil Engineering;
• Any qualification in Engineering Geology, Geology or Geotechnics would be acceptable if appropriate;
• Experience to work with electrical signals and mechanical work, would be considered as a benefit;
• You are experienced in collecting and processing data and you’re well known with Microsoft Office (Excel);
• You live in or near Arnhem or you are willing to move.
