Global: Investment Analyst at Sanlam Group

Objective

• The primary focus of this role is to provide in-depth, original analysis of large-cap global stocks to the Chief Investment Officer and Sanlam Private Wealth’s portfolio managers, to facilitate investment decision-making.

What will you do?

• Focused industry research and analysis
• Fundamental research of leading publicly listed companies with a view to producing and maintaining a comprehensive investment case
• Communication of findings and recommendations

Qualification and Experience

• Honours degree (B.Com, B.Bus.Sc, B.Sc or similar)
• Relevant postgraduate qualification would be advantageous (CA, CFA, MBA)
• A minimum of 5 years’ work experience in equity analysis. Preferably on the buy-side. 
• Strong track record of performance and delivery;
• Advanced financial modelling and Microsoft skills, particularly in Excel, Power Point 

Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to build and maintain comprehensive company valuation models
• Ability to use terminal services such as Bloomberg and Inet
• Excellent understanding of investment markets and the economy
• Strong networking ability
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
