A relevant Honours degree or NQF Level 8 qualification in Business Management, Law, Finance, Audit, Accounting, Risk Management, or Business Administration.
Active membership with the Compliance Institute of South Africa.
At least 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, or External Audit.
Possession of a Compliance Practitioner (SA) designation or certification as a Certified ISO 37301 Lead Implementer will be considered an added advantage.
Duties:
Lead the development and maintenance of the compliance universe, ensuring that relevant obligations are effectively cascaded across divisions.
Provide support to management in the identification, assessment, and management of compliance obligations within their respective areas.
Continuously monitor regulatory developments to identify and respond to changes in the university’s regulatory landscape.
Design and implement compliance risk monitoring plans, conducting independent assessments in alignment with the central compliance monitoring programme.
Compile and present management reports detailing compliance operations, institutionalisation efforts, and progress updates.
