Two to three (2-3) years’ relevant experience in operating a Grader Machine.
Experience in roads & stormwater within a local government authority will be an added advantage.
DUTIES
Responsible for loading and offloading of material and equipment with right equipment to ensure safety of coworkers and the enhancement of productivity within the section.
Operating machinery for daily productivity of work and ensures that safety and traffic rules are followed.
Ensure and protect the vehicle in use and the work area with road signs for the safety of road users like public and vehicles during the excavation process.
Operates the Grader for general road excavations to ensure effective construction and maintenance of roads related matters.
Cooperates fully and consult with the supervisors of the section through receiving and dispatching of works orders to ensure productivity as a prime work purpose to fulfil the service delivery to the rate payers of the council.
Perform any other related ad hoc tasks as instructed by the Supervisor from time to time
