Gradings Clerk at Afrimat

Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies:

• Grade 12 certificate
• Valid driver’s license an advantage.
• Experience working at a remote mining site and in cross-cultural work environment.
• Good knowledge of test done in the lab according to the SANS 3001 testing method.
• Must be able to interpret results as per COTO specifications.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to work safely in fast paced environment.
• Must be able to function independently.
• Must be able to report on the test method completed and explain the results obtained.

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):

• Follow all health and Safety rules.
• Collect and prepare samples.
• Check the quality aspects of materials produced.
• Conduct inspection of material to determine weight.
• Temperature, grades moisture content and quantities inspection.
• Report any irregular findings to superiors.
• Ensure sampling machinery and tools are clean and in workable condition, making any necessary repairs.
