    Graduate Recruitment Supervisor

    Role Purpose:

    • This role reports directly to the manager of graduate recruitment, the purpose of the role is to manage the day to day activities within the graduate recruitment team and ensure the effective delivery of graduate recruitment activities. Needs to be able to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
    • The successful individual will have to deliver a process, project or service involving the completion of a series of defined tasks where accuracy, and timeliness are critical. They will have to be able to take direction from others in completing tasks and assignments and actively seek out work from more senior team members.
    • HR Diploma/degree, experience within a high paced professional services industry will be advantageous.


    Key accountabilities
    Clients

    • Completes specific tasks that meet the team’s and internal client’s expectations.
    • Proactively identifies and appropriately documents issues and their conclusions and consults with appropriate team members as necessary.
    • Keeps senior management informed of significant developments and progress on processes.
    • Consults and escalates on issues beyond own experience or skill set.
    • Supports team members by answering questions and providing accurate information
    • and interpretation of procedures.
    • Works collaboratively, assisting with anything that needs to be done, working alongside people who have a diverse range of skills, styles and approaches.
    • Develops internal network and starts to build knowledge of industry, market trends, competitor activity and products/services.
    • Contributes to and/or collates case studies and best practice to share knowledge across the firm. Ensures such knowledge is recorded appropriately to enable access and use by others within the firm.

    People

    • Meets firm deadlines during Performance Development cycles, including: seeking quality feedback, setting goals, providing input into engagement/project reviews and having regular conversations with Performance Manager, to a standard expected under Open Performance Development.
    • Charges all productive value-add time to Engagement codes to see true value of work delivered and to recognize individual/team effort.
    • Starts to establish networks with clients and across relevant professional bodies and associations and will participate in internal and external professional activities to develop this network.
    • Shares knowledge with other KPMG colleagues/teams and contributes to the development of knowledge resources.
    • Partakes in Global People Survey (GPS) and/or wider people focused actions and initiatives which drive cultural improvement across their local team(s).
    • May assist new starters, including buddy responsibilities and onboarding
       

    Public trust

    • Completes all mandatory and regulatory training required by member firm by the due date.
    • Does not undertake work that does not fit with firm capabilities or Risk Management criteria.
    • Pro-actively takes action to avoid Personal Independence breaches.
    • Takes action and speaks up if they observe and/or are made of conduct that is inconsistent with KPMG’s values and ethical standards.
       

    Quality

    • Undertakes learning to obtain technical capabilities relevant to the role – either through professional qualification, technical training or undertaking functional/sector specific training.
    • Executes projects to a level that meet member firm’s Quality standards within a commercial context.
    • Communicates risk and issues early to Leaders as appropriate.
    • Partakes in reviews on completion of project(s) to identify lessons learned and enhance future quality and commercial planning.
