Graduate Trainee: Retail at TWK Agri

Job Description

• TWK Agri, with its Head Office in Piet Retief, Mpumalanga, is seeking dynamic and self‑motivated 2024/2025 graduates to apply for a Graduate position within the Retail Department of the Trade Division.
• This opportunity is ideal for graduates who have studied Marketing or Business Management and who are interested in gaining hands‑on retail experience, building a solid operational foundation, and developing into potential future retail management candidates within the Group.

Position Overview

• The successful candidate will be placed within the Retail Department, and will be based at the nearest suitable TWK retail branch, depending on operational requirements.
• The graduate will start at entry‑level operational areas within the branch and will be rotated through the different functional areas of the retail branch throughout the year. This structured exposure is aimed at developing a comprehensive understanding of branch operations, customer engagement, sales, administration, and stock processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with day‑to‑day retail branch operations across different functional areas
• Supporting customer service and sales activities within the branch
• Gaining exposure to merchandising, stock control, and basic inventory management
• Assisting with administrative duties, reporting, and record‑keeping
• Supporting marketing initiatives, promotions, and in‑store campaigns
• Learning pricing structures, product ranges, and retail systems
• Assisting supervisors and branch management with operational tasks
• Gaining practical exposure to retail management principles and branch performance drivers

Qualifications and Skills

• Matric / Grade 12
• A University Degree obtained in 2024 or 2025 in a relevant field (e.g. Marketing, Business Management or related)
• Strong interest in retail operations, sales, and customer service
• Good computer literacy, particularly MS Excel and MS Word
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to start at entry‑level and rotate through all areas of the retail branch
• Strong work ethic, adaptability, and willingness to learn
• Attention to detail and basic administrative ability
• Valid driver’s license (advantageous)
