Group ESG Data & Business Analyst - Woodmead at AECI Limited

Job Description    

• Serve as the expert on ESG data, responsible for ESG data management and quality assurance; perform data discovery, data analysis and profiling
• Serve as the point of contact for ESG data inquiries and assisting with data utilisation
• Work closely with business reporting teams and liaise with data owners to identify and test new data sources
• Partner with technology specialists on projects to integrate ESG data into business processes including research, investment models, compliance, and reporting
• Partner with relevant team members on building ESG business glossary and data catalog, identifying critical ESG data elements and assuring proper data linkage
• Work closely ESG reporting team to identify new opportunities for automation and to develop data analytics and solutions
• Contribute to strategic solutions on ESG data integration
• Assist with ESG quantitative
• Assist in tracking and maintaining the data base across all our businesses – this will include tracking our Commitment to our Net Zero management targets as well as overseeing carbon activities
• Conduct ESG screening across businesses
• Manage ESG research depository and attend to adhoc requests
• Assist with research and analysis of company ESG practises and thematic ESG issues
• Support the team with adhoc ESG company research and queries for internal and external use (both quantitative and qualitative in nature)

Qualifications & Experience    

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant field (Data management, Sustainability or related field)
• 10 years’ hands-on experience in managing data and analytics
• Perform data discovery, data analysis, profiling, and build data glossaries and catalogs
• Strong technical skills including working experience with data platforms
• Ability to work effectively across all levels of the Group
• Familiarity with third party ESG data
• Experience with one or more of the following topics: Data Management, Data Profiling, Data Quality, Data Glossaries, Data Catalogs, Taxonomy, Data Modeling, Metadata, Data Discovery, Business Semantics, Reporting Dashboards and Visualization, ETL, Data Intake, Search, Data Architecture
• Familiarity with BI reporting tools
