• To perform elementary maintenance tasks.

Requirements    

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4
• Relevant experience in applying job-related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level 
• Experience in working with senior management
• Business English: Fluent
• Work in extreme conditions
• Basic tool experience

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Perform elementary maintenance and repairs  
• Receive job cards to complete scheduled work 
• Receive parts from maintenance store 
• Repair elementary electrical and mechanical tasks
• Complete job card 
• Preventative maintenance
• Must have basic electrical experience such as changing light bulbs and fittings
• Must be proactive and responsible
• Must be flexible and able to support the plant whenever necessary (day or night)
• Must be able to do basic maintenance functions such as grease bearings, clean machinery, replace motors, gearboxes, and pumps.
• Must be able to report back on plant performance clearly and accurately
• Ensure safe working conditions   
• Ensure safety requirements are met 
• Demarcate working areas where necessary
