    Handyman (Electrical)

    JOB PURPOSE:

    • Performs specific electrical activities under supervision, relating to new installations for consumers, repairs of faulty connection and new connections to streetlights, communicating and guiding personnel on specific activities on site and conducting inspections to ensure work are completed in compliance with regulations and standards.

    SELECTION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST:

    • Grade 8

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

    • Special street light course
    • Supervisory skills
    • Code C1 driver’s license plus PDP
    • Certificate for Hydraulic Crane and Cherry Picker
    • High level of responsibility
    • Fluent in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape
    • Ability to work under pressure without tolerance for errors

    EXPERIENCE:

    • 2 – 3 years’ relevant experience
