- Our client based in Randburg is looking for a Hazchem Code 10 Truck Driver, to operate medium-heavy vehicles (Code 10 license) and transport hazardous chemicals/materials safely in compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a Code 10 vehicle for delivery and collection of hazardous materials
- Transport chemicals in accordance with Hazchem and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure correct loading, securing, and offloading of hazardous goods
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logbooks
- Follow designated routes and delivery schedules
- Handle emergency situations (spills, accidents) according to Hazchem procedures
- Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Report vehicle faults, incidents, or delays promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Code 10 driver’s license (C1)
- Valid DGP (Dangerous Goods Permit)
- Hazchem certification (dangerous goods handling)
- Minimum 2–3 years driving experience, preferably with hazardous materials
- Good knowledge of road safety and transport regulations
- Ability to read and understand safety documentation (e.g., MSDS)
