A relevant Bachelor’s degree (Commerce, Legal, Engineering or other relevant to operations/directorate business area)
Up to eight (8) years relevant experience with experience of leading a professional team
Computer proficiency in MS Office applications and SAP
A valid Code EB driver’s licence
Key Performance Areas
Oversee directorate contract management activities and apply a body of specialist knowledge and expertise to enable adherence to the organisation-wide approach to contract management as set out in the Contract Management Framework and other relevant City of Cape Town (City) policies and procedures
Policy implementation, monitoring and reporting
Stakeholder management
Improve contract management maturity of the directorate
Standardisation of contract management processes
Provide contract management advice and support
Conduct contract reviews
Conduct project gate reviews (commercial and regulatory case)
Oversee management of transversal contracts
Ensure auditability of all directorate contracts
Coordinate contract management training and assist in the improvement of individual competence in this discipline through mentoring and other developmental interventions
