Head: O H and Safety - Department of Facilities Management

The incumbent will be responsible for:
- Establishing a management system and standards to ensure the University operates within the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act;
- Assisting and auditing all contractors on site in terms of the Construction Regulations;
- Providing guidance on managing legal compliance requirements pertaining to radiation sources and occupational health and safety.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- A BTech in Safety, Health and Environmental Management; Bachelor of Environmental Health and Bachelor of Health Sciences (Health & Safety Specialisation) or any other relevant Bachelors/BTech degree.
- At least five (5) years’ relevant experience in:
- Management of a Health and Safety section.
- System management.
- Incident investigation.
