Key Purpose

• The main purpose of the role is to execute digital initiatives that will monetize data, drive digital revenue, improve customer experiences and employee engagements, enhance operations and create new business value through the smart use of digital tools, platforms, technologies, services and processes.

Requirements

Objectives of this role

• Drive digital innovation and serve as a change agent throughout the organisation.
• Working on the existing successful digital strategy of dotsure.co.za, continue to implement the digital strategy by working closely with cross-functional partners to map and transition processes from analog to digital.
• Champion the use of digital technology and practices to engender a digital mindset at all levels in the organisation.
• Ensure collaboration, knowledge sharing, and digital best practices among partners and colleagues to help establish a robust digital ecosystem.
• Measure ROI for digital projects, fine-tuning approaches as needed to ensure that investment is made in the appropriate tools and resources.
• Champion the process of digital transformation in the Dotsure Group across product development and provide digital knowledge input into customer and proposition development.
• Manage the transition to new integration technologies that are being introduced into Dotsure Group.

Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to:

• Develop a clear and compelling digital strategy for future planning.
• Ensure the digital initiatives are fully integrated with the strategic-planning process, including leadership commitment and resource allocation.
• Work with teams across the business to generate innovative digital solutions for products, services, processes, customer experience, marketing channels and business models.
• Own and monitor the digital innovation project portfolio.
• Build, manage and continue to grow a digital-innovation ecosystem, both internal; and external
• Identify new tools (AI, Digital, CRM) that can support and enhance our solutions.
• Manage a diverse team consisting of Hub Spot or similar specialists, Business Intelligence and Strategic Innovation
• Liaise closely with IT, Data, Software, Projects, Marketing teams.
• Oversee digital processes, formulate strategic digital platform plans.
• Assessing RPA & AI trends
• Leads the process to identify and evaluate internal digital asset capabilities and strengths.
• Assesses external digital opportunities inputs to making the best decisions on business strategy given digital realities.
• Acts as a champion and change agent in leading the changes required to create and sustain Dotsure Group digital capabilities.
• Drive Digital innovation to ensure that the business remains at the cutting edge of technology, and in line with current and future digital trends and user expectations
• System alignment: provide guidance and collaborate with system teams in order to implement new technology, maintain global standards and achieve business goals. 

Requirements and skills

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role designing and launching digital platforms.
• Proven leadership of successful digital transformation projects
• Understanding of core business processes and their associated technical solutions
• An innovative and disruptive mindset, constantly looking forward.
• Experience in managing and leading a digital and innovation team.
• Proven skills for influencing and collaborating with colleagues.
• Experience with a digital tool such as Hub Spot highly advantageous.
• Project management and a proven track record of executing strategies to solve business challenges.
• Deep understanding of the evolving digital world on both the demand side (how people/companies are using technology) and the supply side (emerging technologies).
• Solid understanding of pertinent data privacy and cultural aspect relating to usability of digital assets in the global context, in particular the Protection of Personal Information and data privacy
• Solid understanding of product management, ability to understand the wants and needs of Dotsure customers and create digital products to match those needs, and digital disciplines (social media, mobile, web development)
