Head of Ocean Fulfilment South Africa and Indian Ocean Islands
Lead and develop the Ocean Fulfilment team, train and grow employees, improve the way the team works.
Provide direction and clarity to the team to deliver our promise to customers, sail full ship on the most reliable network at lowest cost.
Drive effective space utilization, flow efficiency, scheduling, coordination and partnership with country clusters, Regional Ocean Network team, and relevant Centre Functions.
Be responsible for fuel and environmental efficient vessel operations across the portfolio of the services.
Drive the establishment of vessel operation contingency plans and driving cost saving opportunities.
Participate in and support vessel scheduling, Regional Ocean Network team, port deployment projects or any other improvement projects within or outside Africa Operations TbM.
Develop, strengthen and optimize Maersk services with the objectives to increase productivity in terminals, reduce port stays, high quality of vessel stowage and create customer value at lower possible cost.
Be our main entry point for external stakeholders such as Terminals, ports and ocean suppliers.
Cooperate closely with our TbM land colleagues to develop and grow our business across ocean and land.
We’re looking for:
An individual with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in the industry.

The ideal candidate must possess a customer-centric mindset and demonstrate a track record of driving change management initiatives.
They should have a proven ability to build and lead effective teams, with a focus on talent development and top quartile engagement.
Strong problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented approach are essential, along with excellent collaboration abilities and adeptness in setting priorities.
Innovation cultivation and a passion for delivering exceptional service to customers are also key attributes we are looking for in this role.
