Assistant Director: Acquisition Management at Mpumalanga Department of Health

Requirements

• Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus Diploma / Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Finance, Accounting Management, Financial Management, Cost and Management Accounting, Public Management / Administration as recognized by SAQA.
• A minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in supply chain management, acquisition Management, Financial Management at supervisory / management (Level 7/8). Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, Revenue Management policies, National Health Act, and relevant departmental prescripts. Knowledge of BAS, PEIS and other relevant systems. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint). Valid driver’s licence.

Duties

• To coordinate, review, undertake and implement the supply chain acquisition management framework and policies through the execution of the bidding process, compilation of a list of service providers, according to the prescribed procurement methodologies.
• Coordinate (synergise) review and execute the bidding process. Coordinate, review and compile the list of prospective provider for quotations.
• Coordinate review and source quotations from database according to the thresh values determined by the National Treasury. Supervise employees to ensure an effective acquisition management service and undertake all administrative functions required with regard to financial and HR administration.
