We’re seeking a Social Media Lead to take ownership of our social media strategy and execution, driving growth, brand awareness and customer engagement across all platforms.
Responsibilities
As our Social Media Lead, you will be responsible for designing and implementing Decofurn Furniture’s social media strategy. With no existing internal content team, you will need to take a hands-on approach initially, producing content while collaborating with freelancers to support execution. Over time, you will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing in-house team to drive our social media growth.
We’re looking for a strategic thinker and leader who can create engaging content while optimizing and scaling social media operations to maximize impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Development & Execution – Develop and implement a results-driven social media strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring brand consistency and audience engagement.
Content Creation & Oversight – Develop, manage and oversee the creation of engaging content (including reels, videos, graphics, and photography) tailored for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
Influencer Partnerships – Identify, establish and manage relationships with influencers to enhance brand visibility and audience engagement.
Community Engagement – Develop and oversee community engagement strategies to foster meaningful interactions and brand advocacy.
Analytics & Performance Measurement – Utilise social media analytics tools (such as Hootsuite etc.) to track engagement, optimize content strategy and report insights to senior leadership.
Freelancer & Team Management – Manage external content creators and, in time, recruit and develop an in-house social media team to enhance content production and execution.
Market & Trend Analysis – Stay ahead of social media trends, competitor strategies and industry best practices to ensure Decofurn Furniture maintains a competitive edge.
Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with marketing, e-commerce and customer service teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated digital engagement strategy.
Qualifications
Retail industry experience is a requirement.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in social media management, with a strong mix of content creation and strategic planning.
Demonstrated experience in team management and leadership.
Proven ability to scale and drive engagement across multiple platforms.
Strong analytical skills, with experience in social media performance tracking and reporting.
Expertise in influencer marketing and brand partnership development.
Ability to manage freelancers and build a scalable in-house content team, with effective leadership and mentorship skills.
A self-motivated, proactive approach—someone who thrives on taking ownership and driving projects forward.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
