Head - Operations Co-ordination at City of Cape Town

Requirements

• Relevant BTech or Degree qualification
• 8 years’ relevant experience as per KPA’s below
• At least 5 years’ appropriate experience at managerial level
• Extensive experience in project management
• Experience in tender life cycle administration
• Exposure to a Waste Management environment will be advantageous
• Computer Literacy essential including SAP
• A valid driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas

• Providing input into the development of policies and strategies
• Providing technical specialized input
• Coordinating the management of Area Cleaning Operations including street cleaning, illegal dumping beach cleaning, informal traders waste, etc.
• Collection and Area Cleaning services in Informal
• Settlements and coordination of law enforcement activities in the area.
• Providing Project Management and Special project support
• Managing the design and coordinating the implementation of special cleaning projects and programmes, the review thereof as well as reporting on all such projects.
• Tender Life Cycle Management
• Financial/ Budget Management for both the Unit and Branch and recommending on areas of improvement
• Human Resources Management
• Asset Management
• Managing the planning and coordinate the implementation of Expanded Public Works Program projects in Urban Waste Management Directorate.
• Managing the Human Resource Planning Function for Cleansing
