Key Responsibility Areas

• Performs specific tasks/activities at the Depot and worksite prior to and on completion of allocated maintenance assignments
• Communicates with the immediate Superior and establish details of the task
• Completes internal transactional documentation and related forms
• Performs specific tasks associated with the operation of heavy specialised mechanical plant and vehicles during road and storm water drainage maintenance activities
• Controls the utilization of materials and discharging/ offloading required quantities of materials for repair or reconstruction work

Essential Requirements

• Appropriate level of secondary education
• Valid certification of competency in the operation of truck mounted cranes and operation of Heavy Plant
• Valid motor vehicle driving license (Code C1)
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
• 2 Years relevant experience

Preferred Requirements

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent
• 3 years relevant experience
