Heavy Vehicle Driver at Rand Water

Job Advert Summary    

Rand Water is looking for a candidate who will be responsible for driving both rigid and articulated heavy vehicles, to deliver and collect materials and plant equipment throughout Rand Water’s area of distribution.

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in a similar environment
• Code EC (code 14) driver’s license with the ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 driving test
• Knowledge of the NOSA system and safe working procedures
• Must be in possession of a PrDP
• Previous mechanical experience and heavy haulage experience would be an added advantage

Primary Duties    

• To deliver and collect materials
• To deliver and collect plant equipment

Knowledge    

• Safety knowledge of mechanical equipment
• Knowledge of heavy haulage and abnormal loads transportation

Skills    

• Communication skills (verbal, written)
• Sound driving skills
