Hospitality Intern - Somkhele at Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI)

Overview of duties

• Gain practical experience by assisting with day-to-day operations and tasks within the department including;
• Administrative tasks: Support administrative functions including purchasing of kitchen stock, assigning catering requests, drawing up menus, updating of cleaning rosters and cleaning schedules.
• Taking refreshments to meeting rooms and clearing the meeting rooms of any items from the kitchen.
• Prepare, cook, and serve hot and cold meals.
• Preparing serving stations at AHRI canteen, Ilala and meeting rooms.
• Promote and maintain high standard of hygiene in accordance with legislation, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• Matric or Senior Certificate
• National Diploma or N6 in Hospitality / culinary Management / Catering Services.
