Job Description

• To take full control of the Housekeeping department, ensuring that hotel standards are maintained in all areas of the operation.
• To control permanent and contract staff in rooms, public areas and back of house in all the Hotels.
• To organize, delegate and supervise all staff duties within department.
• To control movement of linen and duties of the linen room attendants.
• To complete all paperwork and reports in a timeous manner.
• To deal with guests requests.
• To ensure smooth communication between Front Office and Housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Matric/ Grade 12.
• Must be able to make decisions that are to the benefit of both the hotel and the guest.
• Must be able to manage and motivate staff.
• Must be a self-starter.
• Must have excellent organisational skills.
• Must have an eye for detail.
• Must be a team player.
• Shift work is an operational requirement.
• 5 years Housekeeping experience required
