    HR Director

    • Red Bull gives people wings and ideas. Our HR leaders empower the business to find the right people, realize their potential and keep them by building and maintaining unique work environment, tools, and culture.
    • The HR Director, as part of the South African Management team, is responsible for leading and overseeing the Human Resources function in Red Bull South Africa by providing strategic and tactical partner services to the business that are aligned with Global HR Strategy of Red Bull.
    • The job has strategic impact on the business of Red Bull in the country through HR insights and actions which facilitate strategic business decisions and plans.
    • At the same the role requires hands-on day to day approach in the areas of recruitment, performance management, compensation and benefits, learning and development and HR Analytics.
    • The role forms part of the country leadership team and will use insights and expertise to advise, influence and execute both the business and people objectives which enable business performance.
    • The role has direct reporting line to Regional General Manager and function dotted line to Area HR Manager.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Areas that play to your strengths
    All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:

    Business Partnering

    • Work as part of the management team, understand the business nature/needs and leading and advising on any people related topics which includes opportunities, plans and actions to enable achieving and exceeding business goals.
    • Provide insight and analysis on people related measures to guide, influence and develop key people focus actions
    • Advise, coach and empower managers to lead their teams and take responsibility for all people related topics.
    • Manage and lead the HR team with the right people & structure to enable high performance through Red Bull people philosophies and tools.
    • Full responsibility for developing and managing a globally aligned local HR plan & budget alongside the requirements of the global HR calendar.

    Planning & Analytics

    • Lead annual business planning (BP) cycle for HR including end to end workforce and personnel cost planning.
    • Utilize external and internal data and insights to build tactical and strategic local HR plans.
    • Provide and share HR reporting & insights with key business stakeholders including local internal and external trends and highlight any opportunities, risks and proposed solutions.

    Recruitment

    • Ensures professional, internationally aligned talent attraction at all stages of recruitment process.
    • Partners with hiring managers to ensure that an accurate Job Description and Job Profile are provided for any vacant job, thus ensuring targeted and quality recruitment.
    • Utilizes market relevant sourcing channels to ensure winning outcome to cost, quality and time.
    • Provides Hiring Managers with a framework for best practice on-boarding and ensure its proper implementation.

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Understand and drive the Red Bull compensation and benefits philosophy within the local country.
    • Upskill, advise and empower managers with the right training & tools to enable them to make informed compensation decisions.
    • Manage all relevant benefits and rewards programs including reviewing South Africa market trends and implementing new initiatives when required.
    • Oversee the payroll function ensuring requirements are met including audit and compliance (including benefits).
    • Ensure C&B practices in the local country are in line with the global guidelines.
    • Supports line Managers with the management of top talent and high performers to ensure retention of key individuals and knowledge/experience.

    Systems & Data

    • Local owner and user of all global & local HR systems and local HR data including SAP HR, Smart Recruiters, Anaplan, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Training Management System, local payroll system etc.
    • Ensure local HR key users are trained and all systems are actively managed with exceptional data quality.

    Talent Management, Development and Engagement

    • Drive and facilitate the talent management agenda. Impact and support the business to ensure talents retention, development, and succession preparation.
    • Ensure annual objective setting and review process is in place and facilitates ongoing feedback culture development and coaching.
    • Support Red Bull Engagement philosophy through management and delivery on the annual engagement survey, outcomes, and action plans.

    Labor Relations

    • Lead and ensure full compliance with local employment norms and legislation
    • Ensure that HR polices are communicated in timely manner and recorded compliantly.
    • Ensure legal requirements are being met in official HR related documents (contracts, notifications, insurances, etc.) and procedures (administrative communication with official organizations, social security, labor risk prevention, etc.)
    • Maintain the Code of Conduct and Conflicts register.

    EXPERIENCE
    Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

    • 7-8 years HR generalist/business partner/manager experience within a matrix environment & global organization working closely with senior leaders including the General Manager and HQ
    • Proven success in executing HR strategy at a national level and in developing local HR plans in line with the national business plan priorities.
    • Strong commercial and business acumen
    • Experience in project and change management both influencing the change and implementing initiatives.
    • Experience working with HR Information Systems (e.g., Success Factor, SAP HR, Smart Recruiters, Anaplan).
    • Previous team management experience preferred.
    • Experience in identifying and analyzing HR and business data to recommend HR initiatives that will drive business objectives.
    • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, multi-task and coordinate with multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
    • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), including presentation and training/facilitation skills. Team player who is cooperative with sharing of information and knowledge.
